Etihad Airways (EY), the carrier just announced that it was “time for Africa” with six new routes, has significantly enhanced its premium offering on services connecting Zayed International Airport (AUH) with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM), Mumbai, and Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL), Delhi. From 1 May 2026, the carrier will introduce the Airbus A321LR on two daily frequencies to each city, complementing existing wide-body operations.
The strategic schedule augmentation increases the airline’s daily frequency to four flights on both routes, with a unified premium product across all services. Etihad has positioned the move as a response to sustained demand in the India–UAE corridor and its broader long-haul connectivity network spanning Europe and North America.

Etihad Airways (EY) Enhances India Operations with A321LR Integration
Etihad Airways has deployed the Airbus A321LR on selected Abu Dhabi–Mumbai and Abu Dhabi–Delhi rotations, integrating it alongside Airbus A350, Boeing 787 Dreamliner, and Boeing 777 services.
