JetBlue Adds New A321 Flights from Boston to This European City

JetBlue Airways (B6) has launched a daily seasonal nonstop service between Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), Boston, and Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport (BCN), Barcelona. The operation commenced as part of the airline’s 2026 summer transatlantic expansion.

The new route strengthens JetBlue’s European footprint from Boston while positioning Barcelona as a key southern European gateway within its growing long-haul network. The service also supports increased demand for leisure, academic, and business travel between the United States and Spain.

JetBlue’s Boston-Barcelona Route

JetBlue has introduced the Boston–Barcelona route as a daily seasonal operation, extending its transatlantic network beyond established services to destinations such as London, Paris, and Madrid. The airline operates the service as part of its broader strategy to scale Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) into a primary European gateway.

According to JetBlue, Barcelona represents a strategically important addition due to its cultural, economic, and academic significance within Spain’s Catalonia region. The airline also highlighted growing indirect traffic between the two cities, which exceeded 59,000 passengers in 2025.

Vanessa Requena, Head of Management Office of JT Barcelona-El Prat Airport, said:

From the Barcelona Air Route Development Committee (BARDC), formed by Aena, the Government of Catalonia, Barcelona City Council, and the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, we have supported the launch of the Boston–Barcelona route. JetBlue’s arrival in the city marks an important milestone, connecting two global hubs and enhancing international connectivity,
