What the Emirates-Jet2 Partnership Offers Skywards Members

Let us look at the benefits offered in Emirates-Je2.com’s partnership:

  • Short-haul flight redemptions: Skywards Miles can be redeemed on Jet2.com flights to over 75 city, beach, and ski destinations.

  • Accessible entry points: Redemption levels begin from 8,000 Skywards Miles, inclusive of taxes and charges, although actual Miles requirements vary by route and demand.

  • Ancillary services: Members can use Miles to pay for meals, extra baggage, and preferred seat selection on Jet2.com services.

  • Expanded UK presence: Jet2.com operates from 14 UK airport bases, with London Gatwick (LGW) joining in March 2026.

Together, these elements aim to bridge Emirates’ long-haul strengths with Jet2.com’s leisure-oriented network, offering members greater flexibility in how they use their accumulated Miles. This sentiment was echoed by Dr Nejib Ben Khedher, Divisional Senior Vice President, Emirates Skywards:

The UK is one of our top markets and we’re pleased to expand our portfolio to offer millions of members a chance to redeem flight rewards on popular holiday destinations served by Jet2.com. In addition to flight tickets, members can also redeem Miles for meals, extra baggage allowance, preferred seat selection, and more – making it possible to enjoy the perfect start to a holiday, fully covered by Skywards Miles. We’re always looking for new ways to expand our offerings and provide members with the best value, choice, and rewards a loyalty programme can offer.’

Jet2.com, the UK’s third-largest airline by passenger numbers, operates from 14 UK airport bases, with London Gatwick (LGW) joining the network from March 2026, further expanding redemption access for Skywards members.

All in All

A broad look into how the partnership between Emirates and Jet2.com’s partnership could influence loyalty strategy and traveler behavior reveals that members in the UK and Europe gain access to reward flights that traditionally required proprietary frequent flyer earnings with other carriers, alongside other benefits:

  • Reward flexibility: The new structure enables Miles earned on long-haul routes with Emirates to be converted into tangible reward travel in the short-haul segment.

  • Competitive loyalty positioning: By integrating a popular leisure carrier into Skywards’ redemption options, Emirates strengthens its appeal in a highly competitive loyalty market.
