Emirates Hiring New Aircraft Engineers in Delhi and Mumbai, Salary and More

Emirates (EK) is expanding its search for aviation engineering talent in India, with recruitment events scheduled in Mumbai and New Delhi later this month. The Dubai-based airline is inviting experienced Licensed Aircraft Engineers to attend dedicated hiring sessions as part of its ongoing global recruitment campaign.

The in-person roadshows will take place in Mumbai on July 21 and 22, followed by sessions in New Delhi on July 24 and 25. Engineers selected through the process will join Emirates Engineering, the airline’s aircraft maintenance division based at its Dubai hub.

Emirates Opens Recruitment Events Across Two Indian Cities

The recruitment campaign aims to connect directly with qualified aviation engineers and provide them with detailed information about career opportunities within Emirates Engineering.

Candidates attending the events will have the opportunity to meet recruiters and engineering specialists, learn about the responsibilities of the role, discuss salary and employee benefits, and understand each stage of the hiring process. Emirates representatives will also provide practical information about relocating to and working in Dubai.

Interested professionals are required to register in advance through the Emirates Group Careers website before attending the sessions.

Successful applicants will become part of Emirates Engineering, one of the aviation industry’s largest aircraft maintenance organisations. The division oversees the maintenance, reliability, and airworthiness of the airline’s expanding fleet while supporting safe day-to-day operations.

Mohammad Sarhan, Vice President for India and Nepal at Emirates, highlighted India’s growing contribution to the global aviation engineering sector.

“India is home to a highly skilled engineering workforce, and this talent is increasingly contributing to the global aviation industry. We are committed to providing Indian engineers with the opportunity to work on the world’s largest fleet of widebody aircraft, gain exposure to advanced technologies, and collaborate with a diverse team of aviation professionals. Through these opportunities, we hope to support their professional development while contributing to the future of global aviation.”

Engineers Will Work Across Emirates’ Widebody Fleet

Licensed Aircraft Engineers hired through the recruitment campaign will support multiple maintenance functions, including base maintenance, line maintenance, and overhaul workshop operations.

Their responsibilities will include scheduled inspections, routine servicing, and heavy maintenance on Emirates’ newest Airbus A350 aircraft, alongside its Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 fleets.

Beyond maintaining Emirates aircraft, engineers may also work on aircraft operated by other international airlines. Emirates Engineering currently provides maintenance support for approximately 30 external carriers under third-party maintenance agreements in addition to servicing its own Airbus and Boeing fleets. The organisation operates under GCAA CAR V approval.

Salary Package Includes Tax-Free Income and Travel Benefits

Alongside a tax-free salary, Emirates offers employees eligibility for profit-sharing incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.

The airline provides medical and life insurance coverage, education allowances, and concessional cargo rates. Employees also receive heavily discounted air travel for themselves, eligible family members, and friends.

In addition, staff are issued an Emirates Platinum Card, which provides access to exclusive discounts and offers across thousands of retail stores, restaurants, hospitality venues, healthcare providers, and leisure facilities in the UAE and internationally.

Dubai South Engineering Complex to Expand Maintenance Capacity

The recruitment drive comes as Emirates continues construction of its new engineering complex at Dubai South, one of the airline’s largest infrastructure investments.

Spread across approximately 1.1 million square metres, the facility is expected to become one of the world’s largest buildings by volume and the largest steel structure in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

Once operational, the site will be capable of accommodating 28 wide-body aircraft simultaneously, making it the only hangar complex globally with that level of maintenance capacity. The development will also include two dedicated aircraft painting hangars.

Among its planned features are the world’s largest free-span aircraft hangar measuring 285 metres in width, the largest specialised landing gear workshop, around 77,000 square metres of maintenance workshop space, and nearly 380,000 square metres dedicated to storage and logistics operations.

Construction is scheduled for completion by mid-2030. Initially, the facility will undertake heavy maintenance work while also supporting overflow projects from the existing Emirates Engineering Centre at Dubai International Airport (DXB).

Emirates Marks Four Decades of Operations in India

The recruitment campaign coincides with Emirates’ long-standing presence in the Indian market.

The airline began serving India in October 1985 with flights connecting Dubai to Delhi and Mumbai. Those two routes formed the foundation of Emirates’ operations in the country.

Over the past four decades, the carrier has steadily expanded its Indian network and now operates flights to nine destinations: Ahmedabad (AMD), Bengaluru (BLR), Chennai (MAA), Delhi (DEL), Hyderabad (HYD), Kochi (COK), Kolkata (CCU), Mumbai (BOM), and Thiruvananthapuram (TRV).
